Copenhagen Opera Festival are proud and excited to be part of the brand new initiative Musik til København.
From Monday the 8th of March until the reopening of the Danish live music-scene, Musik til København will present one corona-safe concert a day in a backyard in Copenhagen. This happens after the latest press conference from the government, which stated that we will not experience live music until after Easter in April at the earliest.
That is why Musik til København brings together music community of Copenhagen for a great joint effort that provides music experiences, community and life to as many Copenhageners as possible – and activities for musicians and the music industry including technicians, producers and settlers. Copenhagen Opera Festival contributes with a concert in a backyard in Copenhagen this march.
Copenhagen Opera Festival's director and creative director Amy Lane is thrilled about the opportunity to create a concert in these times:
With one corona-safe concert every day in a backyard in Copenhagen, Music for Copenhagen will remind Copenhageners that music is still ‘live’ and alive. The concerts are only available to the residents of the respective backyards, due to the circumstance, but we will share photos on our Facebook and Instagram from the day of our concert.
